GVGS Cricket Report

On Wednesday the 22nd of February, 24 students travelled with Mr Smalley and Mr Martin to Shepparton to play a game of cricket against GVGS. We had two teams – a senior team and a junior team.

The senior team lost the toss and fielded first. Noah Willits (3 wickets), Byron Ritchie (2 wickets) and Wasik Ajmain (4 wickets) were impressive with the ball, and we bowled them out for 170 in 27 overs. Fraser McKinstry top scored with 63 in our batting innings.

The junior team also fielded first. An impressive bowling performance saw them concede 127 runs.

Unfortunately, both teams fell short of the win but overall, it was a great day out. Thank you to Mr Smalley and Mr Martin for giving up their time to supervise.

Congratulations to Fraser McKinstry on being named player of the match for the senior team and Mitch Clark on being named player of the match for the junior team.
