Girton Grammar Horseland Dressage Interschool

Elmore Equestrian Centre was bustling with excitement on the 10th of March.  Girton Grammar School hosted 53 schools from all over Victoria, and some from New South Wales, who gathered to participate in the inaugural Girton Grammar Dressage Interschool event.

The event saw 144 competitors showcasing their impressive equestrian skills, competing in dressage at an Equestrian Australia (EA) level. They were able to demonstrate their abilities in front of an enthusiastic audience of parents, staff and other riders.

All participants competing exhibited their excellent horsemanship skills as they executed intricate movements and manoeuvres with their trusty mounts. The judges were left impressed by the riders abilities on the day.

The event was made possible thanks to the hard work and dedication of numerous volunteers who worked tirelessly to ensure the smooth running of the event. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers who gave up their time to make the day a success. In particular to parent Mrs Jody Pickering who was instrumental in getting the event organised.

In addition, the event was made possible thanks to the generous support of various sponsors who provided essential support to make the event possible. Their contributions were crucial in ensuring that the event could offer a high standard of competition and showcase the best equestrian talent from across Victoria and New South Wales.

We would like extend a huge thank you to Horseland Bendigo for their very generous sponsorship. Also to the following businesses for their contribution to our raffle prizes: Marong Produce, Rothacker Stockfeeds, CEPA Farm Supplies, Allysse Smith of Ashwood Performance Horses, Amy Bachmann, Christine Sievers, PETstock Castlemaine, The Complete Garden, Alex Muir, Edwards Providore, Le Sel, Jools for Jim, Jonny Baker Downtown, Cantwell Property and Perrys Stockfeed and Saddlery.

The dressage interschool event was a resounding success and a testament to the skill and dedication of the participants and our Equestrian parent group. With such an impressive display of equestrian talent on show, and enthusiasm from students, staff and volunteers we look forward to hosting this event again next year.
