Senior Boys Soccer 

Our Senior Boys Soccer team represented Koonung SC at Terrara Reserve on Friday 6 May. The boys were a delight to coach and whilst we didn't come home with a win they were gallant in defeat.

Senior Mixed Badminton 

Congratulations to the badminton cohort who were on a winning streak last week, with one team enjoying success against Blackburn High, Box Hill High and East Doncaster SC.  The Girls A team will now be heading to the regionals. We wish them further success.

Interschool Sport at Koonung reminders

Welcome back to another great year of sport at Koonung. We are very excited to be able to send teams out after a long break in 2021. A few reminders for Interschool Sport:

1. Check Compass regularly for information about team sign-ups.
2. Please ensure payment and consent is provided by the due date (at least 3 days prior to the event, otherwise it will result in the student being unable to attend the event)
3. If students decide to pull out of the event before the day, they MUST let either the teacher coaching the team OR Miss Prosenak know ASAP so that we can find another student as a replacement. If not, the team may not have enough players and be unable to go. 

2022 Athletics Carnival 

What a fabulous day out at the Athletics Carnival!  It was great to see that a little morning drizzle didn't deter  the students and the attendance and enthusiasm was gratifying to see, creating a fantastic atmosphere. The students (and teachers) embraced the theme 'Superheroes' on the day, adding to the fun. 

These events are so important in developing community within the school and providing a sense of belonging to the student cohort. I would like to thank teachers and students alike for your positive energy and encouragement to everyone throughout the day. 

To the staff who lost the race against the students (they were just too quick for us!),  we have another chance to reign supreme in the soccer competition on Koonung Day later in the year!
