ICAS Science Awards 2019

ICAS Science Awards 2019

ICAS (International Competitions and Assessments for Schools) have taken place annually in schools for over thirty-five years and in 20 countries. The ICAS Online Science Competition was held in September with Blackfriars students in Years 7 to 10 participating. The competition is designed to assess a student’s ability to apply classroom learning in new contexts, using higher-order thinking and problem-solving skills. The competition questions are based on the curricula for the relevant year level. Students are asked to demonstrate a deeper, integrated, and thorough level of learning.
