Year 8 Girls’ Regional Soccer
On Monday 12th of August, our Year 8 Girls’ Soccer team competed in the Regional competition at the Darebin International Sports Centre. They put in a mammoth effort on the day, coming away with a resounding victory and a hard-fought loss. Both games showed an excellent level of teamwork and persistence, and I am exceptionally proud of the group for being self-coached and managed. This is my second year with this team, and I look forward to hopefully working with them again next year. Well done, girls!

Year 7 Netball
Northcote A, after a stellar performance at the Divisional Competition in Term 2, made their way to the Regionals on Friday 16th August. Guided by their diligent coaches, Bella Collodetti and Iris Bently, the team made a valiant effort to topple their fierce competition. While victory was just out of reach, all students involved represented Northcote exceptionally, showing support for one another and celebrating the success of their competitors. Thanks to Mr O’Shea and Mrs Dridan for their ongoing organisation and support of our representative teams!
Missing Sports Uniform Items
We are asking all families to please check all cupboards, school bags and laundry baskets to see if they have any Northcote Sports uniform items. In particular we are missing Soccer Tops and Football Jumpers. At present we do not have a full set of either sports. We have State Soccer coming up and do not have enough NHS Soccer tops for the whole side.
In the sport department we do our best to keep costs down. Having to replace these items is costly and will definitely impact the cost of all teams competing. If you find any missing uniforms can they please be handed into the PE office as soon as possible.
