SCHOOL MEMORABILIA
VALE GEOFF REBBECHI
We were saddened by the passing of former teacher, Geoff Rebbechi. His family have generously donated some of his memorabilia to the school.
He truly was a McKinnon identity having grown up in Anne St, McKinnon, attended Ormond Primary School and then taught at McKinnon HS from 1961 until 1972 when he moved to teach at Haileybury College.
His love of maths and involvement as an officer in the McKinnon HS Cadet Corps, inspired many people and this was most evident in his regular attendance at Thistlelonian reunions where many of those he taught were delighted to catch up and have a chat. The only change apparent to all who remembered him was the moustache which had turned grey.
His named brick on the Alan Lawrence Theatre wall is a permanent reminder of a very popular and respected teacher.
