MS MANDY MCCALLUM - DIRECTOR OF WELLBEING

On Thursday 28th April the 2nd Year Hospitality students catered for the MMLEN 20th birthday celebration. The students cooked a two-course meal for 31 guests. The meal consisted of a rolled, stuffed chicken breast with homemade relish or asparagus and prosciutto tart, both were served with chat potatoes tossed in butter and parsley and a mixed green salad. Dessert was Danish pastries with raspberry coulis and whipped cream.

 

The function tied in with the student's current assessment and provided them with the chance to display their competence in food preparation and service. The night was a great success with many positive comments passed on to the students. Thank you to Deb Quin from the MMLEN for providing our students with this wonderful opportunity.
