Library News

Our library is dedicated to fostering a love of reading and learning. We maintain a balanced and current collection of books with a diverse range of material to suit the needs of our students.

We encourage all students to borrow from our School Library every week. We are currently running a school reading competition and the winning class will be announced in week 11.

March is Women's History month. Following on from our International Women's Day Afternoon Tea, we have a selection of books available for students to borrow and celebrate the women in history.

We have also launched the Chess Club and the Knitting Club which have proven popular, with many students showing interest and curiousity.

Our knitting club is led by Reese who has a passion for knitting. She has been teaching the students some finger and needle knitting skills. At the moment we are learning how to slip knot and casting on.

Our chess club is led by Hayden, Beckham and Romeo who have enjoyed teaching others the rules and tricks of chess. They have particularly loved challenging each other especially Mrs Kocovska.

Premier's Reading Challenge is well underway and students are encouraged to keep up ther reading logs. Or they can simply add their titles on the student page of the PRC portal.

A link to the Premier’s Reading Challenge website can be found in the Student Portal under the Learning section.  Students are also able to add a link to the PRC in the My Link List section to make the PRC easier to find.  The URL to use is https://online.det.nsw.edu.au/prc/studentExperience.html#/.

Public school students can also log in directly to the PRC website using their Department of Education (DoE) username and password.  These are the same details a student would use to access the Student Portal and the computer network at school.  If you are unaware of your username and/or password, please contact your class teacher and ask for your Student Portal username and/or password.
