Mid-Year Melodies

Congratulations to all the students involved in our ‘Mid-Year Melodies’ concert last Thursday night. It was wonderful to see our bands and larger ensembles perform for family and friends and we thank all students and their teachers for the extra time they have put in to prepare for this fabulous event.

Thanks also to Willow and Sian, our 2022 Performing Arts Captains for hosting the evening.

Victorian State School Spectacular

We are extremely proud to have 2 LHS Instrumental Music students participating in this year’s State School Spectacular – Heidi Graupner (Clarinet) and Erin Allison (Oboe).

Rehearsals are well under way and we are looking forward to seeing the final performance on Saturday September 10, at John Cain Arena.

Semester 2 Instrument Hire

If hire payment has only been made for Semester 1, please make your Semester 2 payment as soon as possible (via Compass Events - Instrumental Music Hire), to ensure your child still has access to an instrument.

Instrumental Music Reports

All Instrumental Music students will receive a semester report from their teacher. These reports will assess aspects of lessons and band/ensemble involvement in;

Reading skills
Rhythmic skills
Technique
Musicality
Evidence of practice
Effort
