Year 11 Presentation Ball

Sunday 19 June was the evening of the Presentation Ball at The Palladium, Crown.  It was an incredible night for all involved with the hard work of the students paying off in a great display of partnership and teamwork. Nerves were calmed beforehand!

Here is a word from one of our Year 11 Captains, Checca Muchmore about the night!

I was one of the many participants for the 2022 Presentation Ball. It was an experience I will surely remember for a long, long time.

Dancing with my deb partner was a blast, with all the music and lights. The best part would have to be when we were able to just dance freely on the dance floor. My friends and I had the entire dance floor to ourselves as we boogied through dessert. It was truly a "Cinderella moment" for everyone, as we had gone and spiced ourselves up for the night.

From riding in a limo and head banging to 80's rock and roll, to dancing to smooth love songs.... And the after parties were pretty rad too.

Unit 3/4 Biology

Students have been busy working on their AOS 3 Independent Student investigations for the past couple of weeks.

Students are required to create their own experiments to investigate and create a Scientific poster to communicate their findings.

VET Hospitality

Jamie Neale (Year 11) undertakes her VET Hospitality at Ranges Tech.  As part of the course, Jamie's class catered for Year 7 students from Mt Evelyn Christian College.

Well done Jamie.  The catering looks amazing!

Year 12 'Pick Me Up'

Morning Tea

On Tuesday 14 June, Year 12 English students came in on the Student Free Day to complete their SAC and were rewarded with a morning tea. It was great to see the commitment and hard work of these students. Well done!

Important Reminders for Senior Students

  • Make sure that if you are driving to school, you have registered your details in the book in our office. This allows us to keep track of whose cars are parked in the car park.
  • Remember that in these cold times, you are welcome to add layers under your regular school uniform to keep you warm. They should not be visible.  Hoodies are not allowed.
  • If you see a student doing a kind deed around the school, pop in to our office and let us know , they will be recognised for this.

Senior VCAL

The Senior VCAL class has been working extremely hard in fundraising efforts for the Asylum Seekers Resource Centre through a sausage sizzle and food stalls with a variety of slices and beautifully made coffee this week.

They have managed to raise over $1000 for the centre and have been collecting essentials from their food drive to donate.

We are so proud of these students for their incredible efforts! Well done!

Have a happy, safe break - we are looking forward to seeing you next term!
