35 Years Service
Congratulations to Maureen Sutton, a member of the Education Support team at Fairhills High School on receiving a '35 Years Service' Certificate for her service to the Department of Education at a function held at Karralyka Function Centre last week.
My 35 years within the Education Department, in all its guises, has been a memorable one: full of new experiences, encompassing a passing parade of students and colleagues, which have provided a significant impact on my "work/life" situation. I continue to enjoy 'coming to work' each day (although only four days a week these days) and look forward to the future, whatever it may entail. Below is a 'snapshot' of the past 35 years:
1979 - six weeks - Ringwood High School - general office duties/Long Service Leave replacement.
1980 - April - December - Mooroolbark Technical School - Part-time general office duties/reception.
1981 - a total of 2 months - Croydon High School - initially Long Service Leave replacement - general office duties. Replaced Office Manager due to illness.
1982 - Oct 1994 - Mooroolbark Technical School/Mooroolbark Secondary College/Pembroke Secondary College
General office duties/Offset printer operator/word processor.
October 1994 - December 1999 -Ferntree Gully High School - General office duties/reception.
January 2000 - December 2006 appointed Business Manager following the incumbent's retirement.
January - December 2007 - Fairhills High School - General office duties/Student Locker Administrator.
January - December 2008 - Monbulk College - Appointed Business Manager, due to incumbent's Long Service Leave.
January 2009 - current Returned to Fairhills High School - General office duties/Administration support to Mathematics/Science Faculties, International Students' Co-Ordinator, Career's Practitioner, Student Reports
