Finance Information

Financial Statements will be emailed to parents at the end of the month.  Thank you to our parents who pay for sports activities, excursions and camps in a timely manner.  If you have CSEF monies showing on your statement, please indicate on the individual Consent Form that you wish to use the CSEF for that particular activity.

School Funding

Student Family Occupation - Why it is important that parents complete this section of the Enrolment form and then notify the school of any subsequent changes.

In Victoria, funding is allocated to government schools through the Student Resource Package (SRP). The equity funding component of the SRP aims to break the patterns of inequality in student outcomes by targeting funds to schools with a higher density of students from low socio-economic backgrounds, who are most at risk of not achieving satisfactory outcomes in literacy and numeracy. The measurement used to assess student need is based upon parental occupation. ‘Parental occupation group’ is defined as the occupation group which includes the main work undertaken by the parent/guardian.

While it is not compulsory for parents to advise schools in the case when family situations change for students, it is desirable.  Inaccurate or out of date data can potentially disadvantage a child’s school when it comes to equity funding for the SRP budget. When there is no parental occupation information, the occupation group defaults to group A (the highest group). This group is not considered in the formula for determining equity funding.

If parents have changed occupation since completing their youngest student’s Enrolment Form, we ask that you click on the following link, complete the attached form and return it to school.

Lost Property

If your student has misplaced anything at schools - please ask that they check at the General Office.  Currently we have a black/silver bike helmet, a pair of black & orange sports shoes, an assortment of jewellery, spectacles and a variety of keys!

School Uniforms which are named are returned to the student as soon as they are handed in (please check that YOUR student has his/her name clearly marked on each item of school uniform.)

Parent & Community Association (PCA)

is again participating in a Community Raffle as its major fundraiser for this year.

The raffle is sponsored by the Ferntree Gully Group of Motor Companies which provides all the prizes and allows the school to benefit by keeping ALL the proceeds from the tickets sold. This is then used by School Council to benefit all students at school.

We ask you to assist by selling a book of ten tickets (or more) at your earliest convenience and then returning the money, stubs and unsold tickets to the General Office by Monday 1 August 2016.  This money can be in the form of cash or a cheque made out to ‘FAIRHILLS HIGH SCHOOL’.

If you have a student in year 7 or 8, you will receive a book of tickets in the mail.  Other families should call the school requesting tickets if you would like to sell them for us.

Please note that there are two cars to be given away this year.

We look forward to your support for this major fundraiser.
