Victorian Premiers' Reading Challenge

The Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge (VPRC) is now open and Fairhills High School is excited to be participating.

The Challenge is open to all Victorian children from birth to Year 10 in recognition of the importance of reading for literacy development. It is not a competition but a personal challenge for children to read a set number of books by 9 September 2016.

Students in Years 7 – 10 at Fairhills are challenged to read a minimum of 15 books from the VPRC booklist.  All students who meet the Challenge will receive a certificate of achievement signed by the Victorian Premier and can choose to have their name included on the online Honour Roll.

Those interested in participating, should speak to either Mrs Kuhne or Mrs Kirby in the Library who will establish an online account for students.  A range of new and exciting books will be on display  in the library for students to choose from to complete their challenge.

Further  general information about the challenge can be obtained by visiting www.education.vic.gov.au/prc.
