Student Wellbeing Centre

Official Opening

On the 17th of May 2016, the Student Wellbeing Centre was officially opened by Honourable Nick Wakeling, MP for Ferntree Gully and our Principal Harvey Wood.

The Student Wellbeing Centre is a new initiative at Fairhills High School in 2016. It is a safe, comfortable space and the hub for student support.  We acknowledge that some students often need a break due to personal issues and the centre offers them a comfy space, with couches, bean bags and a kitchenette to make hot drinks and get something to eat.

The centre has enabled the wellbeing staff a chance to engage and develop positive relationships with students whilst checking in on their overall wellbeing. We would like to take the opportunity to thank Principal Harvey Wood for approving the idea of the centre and Paul McLeish for helping set up the centre at the beginning of the year.
