Cyber Topic of the Week: How Much Screen Time is OK for my Kid(s)?

Managing screen time is a big challenge for all parents - I say that as a parent of an 11 year old and 14 year old.  

 How much is ok or 'healthy?' Am I supervising my child's interactions well enough? Do I know what they are being exposed to? Is this site/game/platform safe? These are all very common questions we ask ourselves as parents.

The Reporting Package

As Francis has mentioned in his section, Semester 1 Reports will be released via Compass on Thursday, 22 June. Our formal 'reporting package' at SGPS comprises of this Semester Report, the eight Learning Tasks released throughout the semester and the Parent Teacher Conference in early Term 3. 

Lunch Orders

Today was the last lunch order day for Term 2. Lunch orders will resume in Week 2, Term 3. 

Netbooks

Families of Grade 3-6 students please note that netbooks will not go home over the holiday break. They will be stored securely at school. 

Ukulele Masters

I walked into 5/6 Lidgett Music class today and was immediately impressed with the whole class playing in unison on the ukuleles, lead by Ms Hamilton. It was awesome to see everyone so engaged and it sounded brilliant!
