IRC Leaders 2022

Hi! I'm Jashan, and the reason I chose to be an IRC leader is because I love reading and writing. The library has always been a safety to me ever since I was a child because it's a place of tranquillity and inclusivity. If I can find a blissful peacefulness in the IRC, I am sure that you all can find the IRC a wonderful place, too!

Hi, my name is Peter and I love working in the IRC because it gives me an opportunity to learn about multiple tasks and support our school community.  I find the job to be very calming and rewarding. If you like books, or just want a quiet space for reading and studying, feel free to come to the library and enjoy your time here!

Hello, my name is Sanjana and I am a year 10 student. I applied for the Library Monitor's role because I thoroughly enjoy reading and would love to participate in the Literature Circle Book Club discussions and encourage you to join in as well. I am passionate about learning new skills and I look forward to working in the IRC this year.

Hi, I am Sineka and I chose to be an IRC leader not only because I enjoyed the experience last year and sharpened some vital skills, but also because I am eager to offer my assistance in the IRC itself. Suggesting  ideas for events such as Book Week and participating in the Literature Circle Book Club were also engaging activities that I wanted to partake in again by becoming an IRC leader. Additionally, the IRC staff are extremely welcoming and hospitable, which makes me feel at home whenever I'm carrying  out my duties or when I'm simply indulging in the plethora of resources the IRC has to offer.

Hello, everyone. My name is Ojas Kalikar. Within school, I enjoy the subjects of mathematics, science, electronics, languages and reading a good book for relaxation. I believe that being an IRC Leader will enhance my skills such as leadership abilities and social skills. I am part of the Literature Circle Book Club and encourage you all to join in.  I am deeply gratified to be one of the 2022 IRC Leaders at NHS. After all, only if we embrace the challenge and work as a team we can achieve our true potential.

Hi, my name is Rhianna and I am one of the IRC leaders for 2022. I am honored to be chosen for this role, as last year I was unable to fulfill my job properly due to lockdown. As a Year 10 student and soon going into VCE, I want to enjoy my school years without regrets by applying for the opportunities given to have a better experience. I cannot wait to work with the other IRC leaders to help the Nossal community and give back for everything this wonderful school has provided me with. From shelving books to organizing whole school events, I will put in my best effort to contribute to the school environment.  

I'm Hritik, one of your IRC Leaders for 2022. I chose to be an IRC leader because it gives me an opportunity to support various activities organised by the IRC. Whether it's decorating the IRC for the Book Week theme or being part of the Literature Circle Club, being an IRC leader helps me promote these activities to the wider student community. We all need a break from the study and pressures of VCE, or even as a year 9, therefore having fun activities such as Book Week give us time to relax and rejuvenate, which is likely to benefit us more in the long term. IRC Leader also allows me to expand on my leadership skills, its almost like having a part time job, but at school! Talking to students, loaning and returning books, and shelving books is a great experience. 

Hi, I am Ria and very grateful to work in the IRC because I have always had an interest in English and more importantly reading. I feel that working in the IRC allows me to extend my interests in these areas and will broaden my knowledge on library's functions. I would also like to contribute towards programs organised by the IRC and to promote reading culture in our school meet like minded people in the Nossal community.
