Clarence Municipality has an increasingly rich tapestry of events, activities and places to enjoy. Here are a few activities which caught our eye!

The South Arm Community Market returns this Sunday 6 November.

This market is held on the first Sunday of each month from 9.30 a to 1pm at the South Arm Community Centre. You’ll find home-made relishes and jams, morning teas, sausage sizzle, paintings and photos, beautiful locally made jewellery, arts and crafts, furniture…Plus a great variety of plants including natives and our Garden Club offers garden advice. Grab some lunch from one of our food vans and enjoy live music.

Don’t throw it, repair it!

Bring your broken items or just come for a cuppa, learn a new skill and meet some great people.

Eastside Repair Cafe is a free monthly community event that is part is part of a global movement reducing waste, sharing skills and building community.

The repairers and skill sharing demonstrations for each event are confirmed the week prior.

Live Clarence is the program that underpins the work of Clarence City Council to improve community health and wellbeing. The activities for the program are born from the Community Health and Wellbeing Plan 2013-2018.

The Plan identifies a range of strategies and actions that can be taken over five and more years to strengthen and improve the physical, mental, and social wellbeing of the community. These strategies build on the unique strengths of both the region and the people in the City and reflect the aspirations of the community, taking into consideration feedback from community participation processes and research.

Take a leap and try some free outdoors group fitness!

Fitness in the Park is a free fitness program run in Council’s outdoor spaces throughout the year. Open to the whole community, the program provides a way for people to get active, improve their fitness, enjoy the great outdoors, and meet new people.

The Summer program will run until 31 March 2023. Sessions will be held at various times and locations across Clarence. Group fitness sessions are for everyone – no matter your fitness or mobility.
