Library News

The staff at the College library continue to purchase and catalogue new books from local bookshops, particularly fiction. Our library now features a section of easy reads, shorter books with larger text enabling all students to have access to a good book. Come and see what you can find!

Some Humour in Difficult Times

Returning Library Books

Thank you to everyone who continue to return library books. Any overdue library books are welcomed back with open arms. No penalties apply. Any copies of Animal Farm are particularly welcome back to our collection at the moment.

Books For All Abilities

The College Library has books for all reading abilities and our Teacher Librarian Mrs Glenda Lemon is also our College Careers Advisor.

New Books!

Our Catalogue can be accessed via the Compass App. Just click on the star at the top and find 'Oliver'. Oliver is the name of our Library Catalogue. New books will be visible on the catalogue home page or you can search you favourite title or author. Students can also borrow for their parents and carers which is handy with the holidays approaching.

E-Books on Oliver

Supplementing the College library's hard copy book collection, students have access to thousands of e-books (electronic books) through our online library catalogue.

It is as easy as going to the following link if you are logged in already:

Homework Centre

Homework Centre is back! We are open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday's from 3.20pm to 4.30pm. All welcome. Easy pickup from the designated visitor pickup between the office and library entrances.

Free access to World Book online!

Students can access World Book Encyclopedia online. The subscription has been covered, so it is free to access for students and staff of the College.

To access:

Via our school website www.oconnor.nsw.edu.au, go to Parent Student Information > Student Information > Oliver. Oliver is the Library catalogue. Once you get to Oliver, the final step is to click or 'Orbit' which is a button at the top right corner and then the link to 'World Book Online'. Happy researching!
