Premier’s Award in Dance

Congratulations to Grace Peacock who is a recipient of a Premier’s Award in Dance.  The ceremony will be on the 3rd June 2019 whereby Grace will receive the award.  Grace achieved outstanding results in her VCE Dance studies and recently performed her composition solo at the Melbourne Recital Centre for Top Class.  Well done Grace for all your hard work, commitment and dedication to Dance.

Dance Showcase in May.

Well done to all dance students for their involvement and commitment to their dance classes in term 1. Morning and afternoon classes will resume in week 2 of term 2 (no classes week 1).

Dress Rehearsal for the Dance Showcase will be held on the 2nd May 2019 during school time. Students are required to bring their relevant dance attire on the day and meet in the auditorium during the following times:

Period 2 – Year 9 dance students

Period 3 – Unit 3 and 1 dance students

Period 4 – Year 7 and 8 dance students

The Dance Showcase case will occur on the 16th and 17th May 2019 in the Melbourne Girls’ College auditorium from 6pm until 8:00pm. Students who are involved in the performance will be required to meet and be seated in the auditorium by 5:15pm each night for a briefing. An event has been created on Compass which will require approval by parents/guardians.

Families, friends and the community are invited to purchase tickets via Trybooking. The cost is $17.00 per ticket, which is required for each audience member upon entry. Please note that a lockout will apply.
