Intermediate Round Robin report
Year 9 and 10 students have participated in their round robin competition for term 2, with a number of teams representing Sandringham College in soccer, AFL, badminton and netball. Thanks to Mr Paterson, Mr Clark, Mr Kerr, Ms Thompson and Ms Naylor for coaching the teams and hopefully you have enjoyed reading their match reports on Compass.
Year 7 & 8 weekly competition
This term competitive teams will play against Beaumaris, Mordialloc and Parkdale in AFL, badminton, netball and soccer. Should teams win all of their matches they will play in the district final. Good luck to the dance academy and dance sport students for their upcoming showcase.
Southern Metropolitan Golf Championships
This is the first year we have entered a Golf team in the SMR Competition. The team travelled to Spring Valley to compete against other schools in the region. Well done to Lucas McConkey who had the teams best score of 42, followed by Owen Sinclair with 44. I know the students are keen to see this event remain on the sport schedule in the coming years.

Boys netball and girls football round robin
On Monday 9th May, Sandringham College participated in Kingston’s Equal Opportunity day. We had four teams compete in boys netball and one in girls football. All of our students represented the college well. They played fairly, showed excellent sportspersonship and had a great time! Their coaches, Miss Hulley and Ms Carter, were very proud of their teams’ efforts. Special mentions to Alex C of year 7 who played against year 9 and 10 students all day and Bethany P-C of year 9 who volunteered her time to be assistant coach.
