Senior Wellbeing

Welcome to term 2! At Holloway road, we are busy getting back into our routines and getting ready for another big term. It can be challenging to return to study after such a nice restful break. The wellbeing team encourages you to be kind to yourself while your body adjusts to the demanding routines of being back to school. Make sure you are fuelling your body well, taking time for rest and doing plenty of the things that you enjoy. This will help the transition back to study life not feel so challenging.

Junior Wellbeing

Hello all and welcome back to Term 2!

Here at Bluff we have hit the ground running with a multitude of testing, including the almighty NAPLAN test. Within the Wellbeing team – as we directed last term in regards to ALTS and returning to school, that we all should do the best we can to enhance our self care during such times, especially with being aware of the difficulty in reengaging into school routine after the holidays.

With a change of term also has come a change in uniform as the days become colder and chillier (we have definitely been feeling it in the mornings). If you may be facing some difficulties in sourcing the appropriate winter uniform, please do not hesitate to reach out to the Wellbeing Team and we can support you the best we can.

This term is short and sharp, but in amongst this is a significant amount of work and curriculum to get through. So please remember to take time out for yourselves and to prioritise some ‘RnR’ this term. Sometimes it is easy to get overwhelmed when time feels like it is getting away, so self care is more important then ever.

We have a wonderful range of events and days this time like IDAHOBIT Day, we at the Sandringham College Wellbeing Team are so excited for the Sandringham College community to continue to grow and embrace our unique community.

IDAHOBIT DAY- International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism and Transphobia.

May 17, 2022

Sandringham College was proud to host a day of festivities to raise awareness against discrimination of the LGBTQIA+ community. Each campus had a bake sale, with the proceeds going to Minus18 who distribute the money to programs that support LGBTQIA+ Australians. We also had music and performances, face painting and games.

We thank everyone who joined in and supported the day, it was a great success.
