From the Sports Desk...

What a great start to my first few weeks as DPS's PE Teacher.  I've thoroughly enjoyed getting to know all students and can't wait for the week's ahead in sport.

We have some great events coming up for Donvale Primary School this month, including our 3 - 6 House Athletics Carnival next week and our 5/6 Hooptime Tournament in a fortnight.  

Over the last two weeks our year 3's, 4's and 5's have also enjoyed learning some valuable volleyball skills in PE classes by our visiting coach Amelia, from Maroondah Volleyball. Students have enjoyed learning how to execute the dig, set and spike actions.

Our younger years have also been perfecting their skipping skills in PE classes this term. The excitement displayed by students when mastering skills for the Kangaroo Club, has been so wonderful to see.  

I now look forward to seeing some of our Donvale Community  at our house athletics next Wednesday.  Don't forget to wear house colours and come ready to cheer on your team mates.
