I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the fantastic learning opportunities we have had thus far and the exciting ones that lie ahead in the coming weeks.

We have a lot to look forward to, including the upcoming 3-6 athletics day, Book Week, and our highly anticipated whole school production Read, Dream Repeat. Rehearsals are in full swing, with our talented students diligently perfecting their dances, singing, and speaking parts. It has been a special week for our Foundation students as they celebrate the remarkable milestone of 100 Days of School. Congratulations to FV and FN for reaching this significant achievement!

Now, I have some exciting news to share with you all. Last week, our school captains and I had the pleasure of hosting a visit from Nicole Werner, the Liberal Candidate for Warrandyte, and Dr. Matt Bach, the State Shadow Education Minister. It was an honor to welcome them to our school, and they graciously presented us with new flags.

During their visit, I had the privilege of giving them a tour of our school and engaging in a meaningful conversation about our exceptional school community. We also discussed the vital importance of adequate resources and support for our students' education.

I wanted to share this news with you all as it highlights the recognition and appreciation our school receives from influential individuals who understand the value of education and the incredible work we do here.

WE WANT OUR PARENTS / CAREGIVERS / GUARDIANS TO TELL US WHAT THEY THINK!

Our school is conducting a survey to determine what parents/caregivers / guardians think of our school. The Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey is an annual survey offered by the Department of Education that is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, and student engagement. The survey is optional but we encourage all families to participate. Our school will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies.

All families are invited to participate in the survey. The Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey will be open from Monday 7 August to Friday 8 September 2023.  You will receive the link to complete the survey via Compass Newsfeed on Monday, August 7th

The survey will be conducted online, only takes 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time within the survey period on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones. The online survey will be available in English and 10 other languages including Arabic, Greek, Hakha Chin, Hindi, Japanese, Punjabi, Simplified Chinese, Somali, Turkish, and Vietnamese.  Please contact me if you would like more information 9842 3373

Thank you for your continued support, and I look forward to the exciting events and opportunities that lie ahead for our students.
