During this Term 3, our school has had the privilege of welcoming a diverse group of new visitors to our community. They are international students from various countries across the world. They have integrated into our classrooms and have been learning side by side with our students.
Our students have been learning about different customs, traditions, and festivals from Chinese culture. This cultural exchange has broaden their perspectives and acquired a better understanding of China and other culture. By engaging with students from different backgrounds, lasting friendships are being formed.
Australian Cultural Program
In our commitment to ensuring a smooth transition for our international students, Donvale Primary School started a special program for these students, aiming to help our new students feel at home in Australia while embracing the local culture. During this program, all international students will come together to participate in a series of activities designed to deepen their understanding of Australian customs, history and way of life.
At our school. we value the opportunities presented by cultural diversity and international friendships. We are confident that the presence of our international students will continue to enhance the educational experience of all students, creating a global perspective that will stay with them for a lifetime. We appreciate our students, parents and staff for embracing our international students with open arms and making them feel at home.
