Scienceworks Excursion

On Monday the 24th July, the grade 5/6s went on an excursion to Scienceworks. One of the exhibitions was to the Lightning room. It was loud and amazing and we got to see electricity in action. We then took part in all the interactive activities in the exhibition, including racing against Cathy Freeman. We all lost. We had the best day and it was a lot of  fun.    By Kody

What we liked about Donvale P.S!

First of all, school is really different here. We don’t speak English very much back home ( for Tiara). Secondly, we have loads of homework at our home school, but it’s really relaxing in Australia. School starts at around 8 for me and 8:30 for Tiara, and having school here is much easier to be on time. School hours are shorter here in Melbourne. During class, we can sit on the floor here but we never go on the floor in our home school. School is great in Australia.
