Student Music

Achievement:

Angus Kitt joins Tamworth Junior Academy

We would like to congratulate Angus Kitt for being accepted into the Tamworth Junior Academy for 2023. Angus recorded his submission in our Music Department during December last year on Voice, Guitar, and Harmonica.

Angus spent a week over the school holidays working with professional musicians on performance techniques, song writing, musicianship, and ensemble skills.

Well done again!

Angus Kitt's 'Meet the Students' bio describes him as "a Melbourne student with a passion for Australian history and the story telling associated with country music. Angus has honed his guitar and vocal skills over a decade, with regular tuition, adding harmonica and mandolin to his repertoire. Angus and his family moved to outback SA for a year. This experience enriched his story telling and helped to diversify his musicality and his views on music. Angus attends Princes Hill Secondary College, a school which allows students to develop their musicianship - his current focus is on song writing and music performance. In 2022 he performed a gig at Melbourne's 'Fed Square' with his band and featured as the singer and guitarist to an astounding applause. He is now completing as advanced study in VCE music and busking on the streets of Fitzroy".
