DISTRICT ATHLETIC CHAMPIONS

Congratulations to the BNPS athletics team who were the overall WINNERS in the District Athletics carnival. The team managed to beat all 7 other schools with both fantastic individual performances and team events in the relays. All 61 team members displayed excellent team spirit and support for each other whilst competing on the day. A fantastic team effort by everyone.

Some stand out individual first place and second place performances given by-

  • Ava B (year 6) and Claudia M (year 5) who both won the 100m and 80m Hurdles events.
  • Neve K (year 6) for Shot Put and Long Jump 
  • Xavier H (year 6) in 800m and Long Jump 
  • Eliza M (year 6) in High Jump and Discus
  • Averie L (year 5) in High Jump and Triple Jump
  • Isabella D (year 5) in 1500m and 200m
  • Eliza N (year 5) in 800m 
  • Emilia C (year 5) in Shot Put 
  • Micah H (year 5) in Long Jump 
  • Olivia N (year 4) in 1500m
  • Inca H (year 6) in 1500m 
  • Eliza H (year 6) in High Jump
  • Harry F (year 4) in 800m
  • Liam H (year 5) in 800m 
  • Angus B (year 6) in 1500m
  • Kieran M (year 6) in High Jump 
  • Henry D (year 5) in Triple Jump
  • Year 5 Girls relay team= Claudia M, Isabella D, Georgia B and Micah H
  • Year 6 Girls relay team= Ava B, Inca H, Saffron M and Neve K
  • Year 5 Boys relay team= Liam H Charlie C, Fynn B and Harry C
  • Year 6 Boys relay team= Xavier H, Liam BH, Jack P and Kieran M

Congratulations also to our Multiclass students Xavier W (year 4) who progresses in 100m, 200m and Long Jump and Eddie A (year 6) for 100m and 200m.

All these students will progress to the Division level of competition on Friday 7 October. On behalf of the BNPS community we wish them all the best of luck. 

 

I would like to make a special thank you to Mr Arnold and Mr Marashli for their hard work all day on both the Long Jump and Triple Jump pit. A tireless job with minimal breaks. Sounds like teaching!  Lucky you got paid!

 

Also to Kelli Baxter (Ava’s Mum) who was my assistant for a Long Jump event and I must say she was an excellent raker and stake marker!! Thanks Kelli.

 

To Nicole Grant who looked after the team for the event and took many photos – thank you.
