Book Week

Last Monday, BNPS was a flurry of colour and excitement as the children were seen to be 'Dreaming With Eyes Open', which was the theme for this year's Book Week.

The Preps looked wonderful in all sorts of costumes from The Gruffalo, a Minecraft Creeper, Where's Wally and many more. We are so grateful to be able to take part in these sorts of activities once again and it was magical to see the Preps' smiling faces as they proudly paraded in front of their older peers and parents.

Thank you also to all the families who came along to watch the parade and also to those who put in a lot of time and effort to dress their Prep children up in such incredible costumes for the parade.

Cubby Day

Last Wednesday the Preps transformed the Prep building into a construction zone! All the Preps looked absolutely fabulous dressed up as builders, with their work boots, flannel shirts, high-vis vests, tool belts and hard hats!

The Preps did a wonderful job of cooperating throughout all the stages of building. We saw beautiful teamwork as the Preps planned, negotiated and constructed their cubbies. The Preps enjoyed finishing their cubbies off with all the finer details we find in our homes such as dining tables and lounge rooms.

Thank you to the Year 6 students who helped us clean up the construction zone by helping to remove all of the construction boxes and made sure the Prep classrooms were tidy.

 Year 5 Buddies

We had so much fun with our buddies on Wednesday while the new 2023 Preps came to visit our classrooms. We paired up with our buddies for a fun activity where we traced around our hands and created a poster using our hand cut-outs.

It was so lovely to see the preps and their buddies reflect on their friendship and create a poster together showing how much fun they have had this year.

Afterwards the buddies had the opportunity to compete against each other in a classic game of 'Tunnel Ball.'' It took a while for the younger children to dial in their gross motor skills but once they did they had an absolute ball!

Wishing all of the Prep children and their families a safe and happy holiday break and we look forward to seeing you in Term 4!
