Year 10, 11 & 12

University Open Days are late July to August. A flyer was handed out to all Year 10, 11 and 12 students at the start of term 3 - more are available in the Senior School office.  It is a great opportunity to find out about new courses and pathways into various courses.  Current students are on hand to talk to and there are often various information sessions held throughout the day. It is a good idea to go online to the University website prior to your visit and plan your day!

Year 10

Work Experience

June 26 to 30 - Wow, what a fantastic week our Year 10s had on work experience! Everything from Media, Legal, Graphic and Interior Design, Childcare, Scientific research, Medical, Landscaping, Automotive and Retail, just to mention a few. Many students were visited by myself and the Year 10 Teachers. It was great to see them so happy experiencing what it is like in the workforce. A few were offered part-time jobs from their placements which was pleasing.

Please see our pictures of some of these visits!

Any parent who could host a Year 10 on work experience at their work place would be appreciated. It is not always easy finding suitable and varied placements. Some places such as the Museums, Shine of Remembrance and other businesses have stopped their work experience programs for secondary students. Please contact the Careers Office if you can offer a placement in 2018.

Course Selection Interviews

Starting this term, I will be conducting course selection interviews for the Year 10s. This follows the VCE information night that was held at the College on Wednesday 19th July. If you missed out on the session, look out for the slideshow that was emailed to out to you.
