FROM THE SUSTAINABILITY DESK...

On Tuesday, 18th September members of the ‘Green Team’ participated in the Annual Waste Audit under the supervision of Mrs Sires and Mr Fernandes. It was a process in which students were able to assess the types and amount of waste being generated by our school. The audit greatly helped us to identify and plan waste reduction initiatives.

About 30 students from both Middle and Senior School were also selected to participate in a sustainability survey conducted by Monash University, entitled “The development of a sustainability locus of control scale for use with Australian Adolescents”. The findings of this research tool will help us to improve our team work as we continue to encourage our students and school community towards a sustainable way of life. All participant were awarded a certification of participation.
