The Countdown is On... Just One Week Until Mary Poppins Jr.!

After months of rehearsals, countless choreography sessions, vocal practises, organising sets and props, and costume fittings, the countdown is officially on! In just one week's time, the curtains will open on our 2026 school production of Mary Poppins Jr.

What began as auditions earlier this year has grown into something incredibly special. Our students have shown true dedication, resilience and teamwork as they have worked together to bring this much-loved story to life. Every rehearsal has been filled with growth, laughter, problem-solving and plenty of magical moments, and we cannot wait to share the finished production with our school community.

As we enter Production Week, our cast, crew and band will move into the Paramount Theatre, where lighting, sound, costumes, scenery and live music will all come together for the first time. It will be an exciting week, and one where all of the hard work finally transforms into the show audiences will see on stage.

Spotlight on Our Show Band

One of the unique features of this year's production is our talented student Show Band, made up of nine dedicated musicians from Years 6 -12.

Before each performance of Mary Poppins Jr. begins, audiences will enjoy a special performance featuring a selection of musical theatre favourites. Under the direction of Mr Michael Hearn, our Show Band has been rehearsing throughout the year and is excited to help set the atmosphere before the curtain rises.
