Year 1 Excursion to Puffing Billy
On Thursday we went on Puffing Billy! First we sat down and ate our recess while a lady told us about Puffing Billy. The lady’s name was Peta. We all went to the toilet before we went on. Then she walked us to the giant, massive steam train. Next we split into two groups and got on the train. We went through a rainforest called the Dandenong Ranges. It was beautiful. We saw lots of animals. When we got off we had lunch on the deck. After that we went to the museum and watched a movie about 3A the first Puffing Billy Train. Finally we went into an activity room and played some games. Eliza 1B
On Thursday I went on Puffing Billy. I went on a long bridge. I went to a museum and I touched coal. It was black, hard and bumpy. In the museum we watched a movie about 3A and 4A. After that we had lunch. After we had lunch we went to the playground. Amelia 1B
On Thursday we went to Puffing Billy. First we sat down on Puffing Billy. I saw two kangaroos and a baby wombat. We went to the museum and I touched coal. It was black, hard and bumpy. We also watched a movie. Zoe. W 1B
We went to Puffing Billy. I saw a wombat, six sheep, five horses and a kangaroo. After we arrived at Lakeside Station we learnt that 3A was the train that refused to die and gave its parts to other trains. We also learnt that 4A crashed because it was going to fast on a turn. I got to touch coal. It was black, hard and bumpy. Hugo 1B.
On Thursday I went to Puffing Billy with my class. May favourite part was going on the train and getting to learn about Puffing Billy and how 3A was the oldest train there. I had so much fun! Chloe 1B
On Thursday 24th July, we got to meet Peta the educator and we got to eat our recess. After we went to the toilet when we came back we got on the train. When we were on the train we went over the bridge and we were scared. When we got off we went to the museum amd we saw lots of cool stuff. We got to see the first made train an Australia. We were surprised. Scout 1A
We went to Puffing Billy. I loved Puffing Billy. I liked everything! Fox 1A
On Thursday 24th July we went to Puffing Billy. We got on the bus first. When we got to Puffing Billy we had recess. We got on Puffing Billy. I loved going over the bridge and helping Miss Horler take photo’s. Harriet 1A
On Thursday 24th July we went on Puffing Billy. We went on the bus for one hour. We all had recess and we also met Peta. We went on Puffing Billy and on the way we saw animals. Henry 1A
Puffing Billy made a big noise when it blew it’s whistle. We saw the front of the train when we went around a corner. I saw a big bridge and thought we might fall off! By Jamie1C
Puffing Billy has 10 carriages and 3A is the oldest train engine. I sat next to Jamie and it was fun. By Julie 1C
