100 Days of Prep!
On Wednesday 23rd July we had a very special day - it was 100 Days of Prep!
Prep A
The children had so much fun celebrating 100 days of learning!
The Preps really enjoyed creating their ‘100 Days crown’, a special activity which they were lucky enough to share with their Year 5 Buddies.
Prep B
We made '100' placemats and the children were very excited to share their 100 items with their classmates. The Preps had brought to school all sorts of little items like gems, feathers, stickers, pom-poms and Lego blocks! The children had fun decorating their posters and the teachers took photos.
Prep C
The day was a wonderful celebration, topped off with bubbles on the mounds and a beautiful guard of honour from the Year 5 Buddies as the Preps left school for the day.
100 Days With Our Buddies
Old Fashioned Dress-Up Day
Last Term, as part of our current Unit of Inquiry, ‘Where We Are in Place and Time’, the Preps had an Old Fashioned Dress Up Day. The children experienced what it was like to go to school in the olden days by wearing old fashioned clothes such as long skirts, vests, shawls, braces and hats.
They loved playing many old fashioned games and activities throughout the day, such as writing on chalk boards, playing with marbles, knuckles/jacks, snakes and ladders, and board games.
The Preps enjoyed skipping ropes, yo-yos, quoits and elastics. It was fun learning the old rhymes school children used to sing while playing elastics. We also sang some old fashioned Nursery Rhymes such as ‘Incy Wincy Spider’, ‘I’m a Little Teapot’ and ‘Little Miss Muffet’.
Magic Show
Congratulations to our 2026 Preps for a wonderful morning on Wednesday!
After some time to play and get to know new friends, the children were treated to an exciting magic show by Josh Staley. Josh was incredibly entertaining, and a few lucky students even had the chance to assist him during the performance!
It was a fantastic show that had everyone engaged, laughing, and amazed. The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience!
We’re now looking forward to our next transition session on Wednesday, 17 September, where the children will have the opportunity to explore a variety of Specialist Programs offered at our school.
