Foundation

Welcome to Week 4! 

We are almost halfway through the term and the Foundations have fully engaged in their learning.

Literacy

In Phonics, the Foundations have been focusing on the letters Ww, Vv, Jj. We have been practicing the formation and applying it to our writing. In Reading, we have been looking at vocabulary and discussing good and bad choices that characters make in books. In Writing, we have been identifying the order of events, characters and making connections to our own experiences.

Numeracy

In Numeracy, the Foundations have been learning about different types of patterns. They have been learning to recognise and create patterns using various hands on materials.  We also have been learning about the days of the week and times in the day. 

Mother's Day

It was so wonderful to see so many mothers and grandmothers come in for our Mother's Day Open Classroom morning. We loved sharing this special moment with you all. The Foundations also enjoyed buying special items from the mothers day stall!
