Level 1

The Level Ones have been having an exciting few weeks. We have celebrated Mothers Day, and have been busy learning about so many exciting topics!

Literacy

The Level Ones have been busily developing their ideas in their narratives in Writing. They have been using similies, fun adjectives, and practising 'showing not telling' in their writing. In Reading, they have been making connections between texts, connections to their own experiences and have begun to learn about inferring. 

Numeracy

Maths has been an exciting time, as we learn about subtraction strategies. This week, we have been exploring making and identifying repeating and growing patterns.

Inquiry

Last week in Inquiry was all about Mothers' Day! The Level Ones worked really hard to make beatiful gifts for their mothers and loved ones. This week, we have been exploring Indigenous stories and learning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
