Year 1

Book Parade

A huge thank you to all of our families who joined us for our Book Week Parade this week!

Year 1 have loved exploring picture books this year and had so much fun dressing up as their favourite book characters. We really appreciate the time and effort our families put into creating such fantastic costumes and helping to make the day memorable.

It was a wonderful opportunity for our school community to come together and celebrate our love of books.

Year 2

Book Week Parade & Pyjama Day

It has been a busy week with Pyjama Day and the Book Week Parade. It was lovely to see students making an effort with their pyjamas and book-inspired costumes and enjoying the opportunity to celebrate reading together.

Swimming Program – Week 9

Our Swimming Program will run next week from Monday 14 – Thursday 17 September. Swimming is part of our PDHPE program and provides students with an opportunity to develop their swimming skills, confidence and independence. Students will be placed in groups according to their ability and supported by experienced swimming teachers.

Please remember:

· Label all bags and belongings with your child’s name.

· Bring a separate swimming bag for underwear, goggles, water bottle and swimming cap     (optional). A Woolworths or Coles bag is suitable.

· A wet bag for wet swimwear is optional.

· We recommend 2 swimming costumes and 2 towels, where possible, to allow items to      dry between sessions.

· Swimming caps are optional, but students need to be able to put them on independently.

· There is no need to purchase new items. For boys, jammers, trunks or briefs are    recommended rather than boardshorts, which can be harder to swim in.

· Please pack recess and lunch each day. Recess may be at a different time and the  canteen may not be available. Students will return for lunch but not at the start so food    may go cold.

Thank you for your support in helping students prepare for the swimming program.
