R U OK? Day – A reminder to check in

Yesterday, our school acknowledged R U OK? Day, a great reminder to us all that a simple conversation can make a real difference.

As a school community, we dedicate a great deal of time looking after our students and supporting their wellbeing needs, but it’s also important that we look out for one another across our local community.

Just a reminder to all to take a moment to check in with a friend, family member or colleague, have a genuine conversation and ask, “Are you OK?”

And remember, R U OK? isn’t just for one day - any day is a good day to check in with the poepl around us.

Let’s continue to build a school community where people feel connected, supported and comfortable reaching out when they need to or are in need of some help or support.

If you’d like to learn more about how to start an R U OK? conversation, you can visit the official R U OK? website here: https://www.ruok.org.au/

Can you please help?

Calling all community partners and local businesses

Support our PSSA Basketball Teams with New Jerseys!

We’re excited to share that our PSSA basketball teams are ready to represent our school in upcoming games against 14 other local schools! These matches help our students build teamwork, leadership, and school pride.

Right now, our teams do not have official jerseys, and we’d love to provide them with comfortable, professional uniforms to wear during competitions. New jerseys will boost their confidence and make them feel proud to represent Hurstville Pubic School.

We are looking for community partners or local businesses to help by donating funds to cover the cost of 40 jerseys in various sizes.

In appreciation of your generous donation, your organisation’s logo will be proudly displayed on the jerseys, giving you great visibility and acknowledgement at every game and across our local community.

This is a wonderful chance to support our young athletes and be part of a positive community initiative. Please see the image below of the proposed design of the basketball jerseys.

If you or someone you know might be interested in helping, please get in touch with our Hurstville PS PSSA Coordinator, Mrs. Vicki Koinis via the school email

Thank you for supporting our students and helping them shine on the court!
