School Council Update May 2025

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome to the third edition of the Le Page Primary School Council update for 2025. 

Just a reminder that this update aims to create an open line of communication with School Council and the important work it does for the growth, promotion and development of our school. 

School Council’s role is to make decisions that set our school’s direction and ensures the school is run with the best interest of all our students. 

What was on our Agenda. 

Discussion around venue options for the swimming program in 2026 to ensure our students get the best swimming experience. 

Trial lunch orders in term 2 at AJ’s a survey will be conducted to gather more feedback from the school community on the outcome of the trail and what our community would like to do in the future with the provider. 

The Child Safe Standards were reviewed, emphasizing the importance of reporting and responding to child abuse suspicions. The role of the school council is ensuring compliance with these standards. 

The introduction of new sports tops for students was discussed. The design was chosen based on student votes, and the council considered the logistics of ordering and distributing the tops. Tops are likely to be available in August this year.
