Music Notes

The Music Department has had a wonderful start to the year. We welcomed many new students into our Instrumental Music Lesson and Ensemble Program.

In the last week of Term 1, 15 of our instrumental ensembles amazed a packed-out audience at the Twilight Concert. From Black Sabbath, to Toto, to Grieg – this concert had it all!

Students are working hard on their compositions and performances in the classroom music program. Our VCE cohort in particular have finalised their programs and are looking forward to showcasing their talents in our VCE Music Nights in Term 2. 

Two highly successful of Music Camps with students from many of our ensembles were held early in term Term 2 at Safety Beach with tremendous progress on repertoire and skill development. We are looking forward to hearing and seeing the fruits of their labours at concerts coming up next term:
