Debating Update

Debating kicked off a few weeks ago, with students already showing great enthusiasm and confidence in their first rounds. Our Year 9 team secured a win against Coburg High while arguing in the affirmative that camping should be free in all national parks across Australia. Ollie Marks also took part in their his debate, speaking in the negative on the topic that the cosmetics and fashion industries do more harm than good - his excellent comedic timing and use of Ru Paul's drag race as evidence got a laugh from the adjudicator. Tom Collette made a strong debut as well, debating the issue of whether airlines should be banned from overbooking flights. We are very proud of all students for the skill, courage and preparation they have shown so early in the season!
