Success In The Making
Cultural Dessert Day was a highly successful event that brought students and staff together to celebrate the rich cultural diversity within our school community. Organised by Christian Lim as part of his VCE VM Personal Development Project, the event provided an opportunity for participants to share desserts that represented their cultural heritage, sparking conversations about family traditions, cultural identity, and the importance of multiculturalism.
Christian is very passionate about how food can be a powerful way to bring people together, break down barriers, and promote understanding between diverse groups.
Through the successful planning and delivery of the event, Christian further developed valuable skills in organisation, communication, leadership, and event management. Cultural Dessert Day certainly achieved its goal of celebrating diversity with seventeen various desserts on offer!
Christian has been an outstanding Year 12 VCE VM student, embracing his learning at William Angliss, and gaining future employment through his structured work-placement at The Langham Hotel on Southbank.
Well done Christian 👏🏼

With plenty of teamwork, precision and hands-on problem-solving, the pair are gaining real-world experience and getting a taste of life in the automotive industry.
A call out again to local workshops who are willing to offer one day a week work-placement to these lads. Please contact caitlin.mackay@nazareth.vic.edu.au

Another shout out to a fabulous VCE VM Year 11 student whose experience studying Certificate II Electrotechnology at TAFE has led him to explore niche opportunities in the world of work.
A huge thank you to TK Elevators, Port Melbourne for taking Lucas under their wing for a week of exposure to real work in this exciting industry.
Well done to Lucas for his persistence in acquiring a placement, travelling to the City each day, and for being a great ambassador for Nazareth College and the VCE VM program.
