VET at Nazareth College

Building Pathways For The Future
Vocational Education and Training (VET) continues to be an important part of the pathways offered at Nazareth College, providing students with the opportunity to develop practical skills, explore industries and gain nationally recognised qualifications while completing their secondary education.
At Nazareth College, our VET program continues to grow, with 16 VET courses now available on campus across a diverse range of industries. From, Electrotechnology, and Hospitality to Community Services, Health, Sport and Recreation, Business, Multi Industry Pathways program and more. Our students have an opportunity to choose a pathway that reflects their interests, strengths, and future career aspirations.
VET provides students with valuable hands-on learning experiences that complement their academic studies. Students develop industry-specific skills while also building confidence, communication, teamwork, problem-solving and employability skills that are highly valued by employers.
Importantly, VET can also contribute towards a student's VCE and future ATAR, depending on the VET program undertaken. It can provide a pathway into further study at TAFE or university, apprenticeships, and traineeships, or directly into employment.
Our Careers and VET team works closely with students and families to help them understand the many pathways available and identify opportunities that best suit each student's individual goals.
With the continued expansion of VET at Nazareth College, we are proud to provide students with more choice, greater flexibility and practical pathways into their future.
VET is more than a qualification – it is an opportunity to discover what you can do, develop real-world skills, and take the next step towards your future career.
If you are still considering studying one of our VET courses and have not yet submitted your application and subject selections, please do so now to avoid missing out on a spot.
If you are still unsure, please come and see us in the Careers Department to discuss your options and course pathways.
