Twilight Fete is on Friday 8 November

Our fete is less than four weeks away!!

What is the fete?

Our 2024 Twilight Fete is an exciting event for the whole family.  The fete, which is like a fair or festival, will be held on Friday 8 November, 4-8 pm on the grassketball court and oval at the Errol St Campus.  There will be a fun atmosphere where we can come together to play, eat, dance, and celebrate our wonderful school community. 

What can I expect on the day?

• Rides and activities: jungle adventure, wipe out, atomic drop giant slide, chair-o-plane, and special ops obstacle course, along with animal farm/petting zoo and assorted carnival games
• Festive food and sweet treats: you can look forward to fairy floss & popcorn, zooper doopers, and a bake sale as well as our traditional sausage sizzle, plus sushi handrolls, while Melrose Place 3051 will be serving up their delicious woodfired pizza. 
• Entertainment: two parent bands, NMPS teacher band, School of Loving Music junior band, and an array of NMPS student performances
• Silent auction: there will be lots of items available from local businesses, food & beverage and salon vouchers to kids’ games, arts and activities.  Find items you would like to buy online, place a bid, and if your offer is the highest at the end, you buy it, get the item and raise money for our school.
• Other stalls and activities provided by the year-level groups:

• Prep: festive food, and lucky dip
• Year 1: crazy hair
• Year 2: second-hand toy stall 
• Year 3: circular craft stall
• Year 4: bake sale
• Year 5: chocolate / lolly flick
• Year 6: temporary tatts, and carnival games

Who is organising the fete?

The fete takes a huge amount of time and effort to organise.  The fete is organised by the NMPS Parents and Friends Association, a group of volunteer parents and family members of children who attend the school.  Teachers at each level are working with their classes to develop the stalls and activities for the year-level themes. 

How can I get involved? 

• Stay tuned via Compass notifications for Fete updates
• Donate items for year-level stalls and activities
• Donate items for the silent auction (email community@nmps.fun )
• Put your name down to volunteer on the day (below) 
• Buy your wristbands/tickets/fete money early for great discounts (on sale 2 weeks prior)
• Come along to join in the fun on Friday 4 November, 4-8 pm

Volunteer at the Twilight Fete

Get in early to sign up for 1-hour Volunteer shifts at this year’s fete. We currently have 127 spots to choose from. Choose a similar stall to last time or jump into a fun new activity. The kids love to see it and it’s always a hoot to participate alongside other parents and teachers at this festive event. It’s always a rush to grab shifts on the 4 Fairy Floss machines.
