Creative student stories
We have been learning about a very funny author called Michael Rosen, he has shown us that recounts can be crazy, exaggerated and fun. We read some of his work for inspiration and then used our own experiences to write some crazy recounts.
Here are some of our amazing student writing results.
I was usually a good girl BUT I knew I needed it. It took weeks to figure this out. But that Sunday morning I knew it was MY time.
I tip toed through the hallway, over the creaky floorboards and raced to the kitchen.
My heist had begun.
I searched every bit of the kitchen, and there it was.... Mum's chocolate.

All my life, I have dedicated my time to painting. At the young age of 5, I began painting a magnificent picture. I was so dedicated to making it perfect, that I didn't realise I got paint on my dads favourit table!
Maybe it's not dry yet, I thought to myself. There is still hope!
Then I had a brilliant idea, I can clean it before he gets home. Grabbing all the tissues in the world, I began scrubbing. When all of a sudden I hear a turn of the door. Uh oh, he is home! I rush around like a mad scientist, trying to look innocent. That's when I did the silliest thing of all, I sat down on the table so he wouldn't see it!
The good thing was that the stain came off, the bad thing was that the stain went to my pants! My dad still doesn't know to this day. Until he reads this!

I woke up super early in the morning. The first thing that came to my mind was.... ROYALS!(They are my favourite chocolate biscuits). I HAD TO EAT THEM, RIGHT THEN AND THERE!!
I creeped out of bed and made a BANG! Owwwwie! I had accidentally hit my knee as hard as the strongest ballistic missile on the chair. I listened, my Dad was still snoring, good.

As I arrived at Luna Park I ran to the roller coaster. The line was extremely long but I was there for it. My body was so filled with adrenaline, I felt like a lightning bolt. After hours of dedication waiting in line we finally got on the rollercoaster. But just before the second we went in my older sister whispered in my ear, "I bet your scream'". I was furious at the thought of what she said, 'No I'm not!' I scoffed and yelled to her. I instantly regretted saying that.

My team mates were cheering me on for a free kick. The free kick was up to the halfway line and I was breathing just like Ronaldo.
The ref beeps the whistle and finally it was my time to shine.
I walk towards the ball and did a powerful kick that went so fast it was faster than a motorcycle, the only thing was that the wind curved the ball making a sharp curve so it hit the top left corner.
