Community Notices & Reminders

Annual privacy reminder for our school community

Our school collects and uses student and parent personal information for standard school functions or where permitted by law, as stated in the Schools’ privacy policy and the Schools’ privacy collection notice.

Our Photographing, Filming and Recording Students policy describes how we collect and use photographs, video and recordings of students. The policy also explains when parent consent is required and how it can be provided and withdrawn.

We ask parents to also review the guidance we provide on how we use [Microsoft 365/Google Workspace for Education] safely at the school and what parents can do to further protect their child’s information. If after reviewing the guidance, you have any questions or concerns regarding your child using [Microsoft 365/Google Workspace for Education], please contact the school.

For more information about privacy, refer to: Schools’ privacy policy: information for parents. This information is also available in eleven community languages:

  • Amharic
  • Arabic
  • Chinese
  • Dari
  • Gujarati
  • Mandarin

Traffic Safety Reminders

Keeping all community members should always be our goal. Unfortunately, Bemin staff continue to observe students running across both Everton and Morris Road at non crossing points. This is extremely dangerous. Some students are choosing not to cross at the crossings or lights provided. There have been times where parents have waved students across the road. Both roads can be congested at drop off and pick up. The roads are also shared by buses; trucks; members of the public (including Learners and P-platers) in cars. We will do our best to teach students about road safety but we ask ALL families to remind and support their children in making safe decisions.

We all have to work together to keep our young people and the children from other schools safe in the suburb. Many younger siblings walk or travel with older family members to and from school. This includes students from Wareen Primary, and the nearby Prep – 9 Colleges.
