As we wrap up Term 3, it’s been fantastic to see so many Hollows students getting involved, achieving, and representing our House with pride.
Last week, we enjoyed another highlight of the year with the College Athletics Day. It was wonderful to see our students out in force, proudly wearing blue, competing across track and field events, and giving their all. While the results of the day will be announced early next term, Hollows currently sits in 2nd place overall- just 60 points behind Mabo! With one term to go, we’re within striking distance of the House Cup, and it would be incredible to finish the year with a bang and finally claim that elusive title. Remember, it’s not only Athletics Day that contributes to the final points tally. Academic achievement, learning habits, values nominations, and participation in upcoming events all play a vital role, and we know Hollows students will continue to shine in these areas.
This term has been about more than sport; our students have shown their incredible range of talents in the performing arts as well. Hollows have had strong involvement in the Multicultural Assembly, 4Cs, and the College Production, with students impressing on stage and behind the scenes. We are so proud of the way our House has showcased such creativity, passion, and teamwork.
Looking ahead to Term 4, we prepare to farewell our Year 12 students, who will be celebrated at the final assembly in Week 3 before moving into exams and their valedictory. It’s hard to believe the end of their journey is so close, and we wish them every success in their final weeks of school. For all other year levels, we encourage you to keep working hard, stay focused, and finish 2025 on a strong note. Year 9 students have their City Experience to look forward in Week 2. We also have the Colour Run to look forward to as well. Don’t forget your consent forms for these events!
We hope everyone enjoys a safe and restful holiday break. Best of luck to your AFL and NRL teams over the finals, and we look forward to seeing Hollows House continue to thrive in Term 4!
Go Hollows- wear blue, be true!
Warm regards, Hollows House Leadership Team
