WE MADE IT! 1 MORE TERM TO GO 🏁🏎️
The Wellbeing Team are feeling just like our Year 12s right now… excited, tired, and ready for the end of the year! After a massive Term 3, we’re proud to look back at all the ways we’ve worked with the college community – through a variety of Programs, Clubs, and Special Events.
GRADUATIONS AFTER GRADUATIONS 🎓🥅
We’re stoked to have worked with another few groups of students who all were keen to grow themselves and their skills through important groups work throughout this Term. A massive congratulations to our Students graduating from these programs!
- Raise Mentoring, working with Junior female Students
- Change-Makers, working with Junior Rugby Academy male Students
- Know Yourself, working with Senior female Students
- Sporting Change, working with Junior Students
We hope you’re as proud of yourselves as we are!
CELEBRATIONS FOR WEAR IT PURPLE DAY & RUOK DAY 🎉📣
The Wellbeing Team have been racing to get Balloons, Goodie Bags, Special Breakfasts, Guests, and Fun Activities together for our special Celebration Days this year!
We love celebrating and raising awareness around these important occasions each year, so we can continue cultivating a safe and inclusive culture here at HPSC, for our whole school community.
On August 28th we celebrated Wear It Purple Day, adorning our Breakfast Club, outfits, and Lunchtime activities in some colour for a good cause. A massive thank you to everyone who came for some Grape Jelly and Toasties, made Bracelets and a Pledge of Inclusivity, and wore purple! 💜
On the 11th of September, we celebrated RUOK Day (a big Deal, like New Years Eve – big, for us!) – started off our day with our annual Breakfast Club outside, bringing our classic Toasties outside, paired with Banana yoghurt, Up&Go, Lemon Tarts and other yummy treats. Thanks to hungry students and staff, the clean up only took a few minutes!
We kept the vibes going by handing out our traditional Goodie Bags to our Year 12s – a little care package to help with their big weeks of exams and studies ahead. Good Luck Year 12s! We loved seeing you rock your merch at the Athletics Day on Friday.
At 1pm, we had a whopping 15 Organisations join us outside the CRC, Art Room, and Canteen Courtyards for our lunchtime Carnival! From Cornhole, Catching a mark with the Hawks, Cookie Giveaways, Badge Making, Giant Board Games, to a full Petting Zoo – we loved seeing our Staff and Students share in the fun and the message behind RUOK? Day.
This fortnight, Staff also got a chance to share kindness and compassion with each other, taking time to connect and pair with a Random Staff Member through our Coffee Roulette, and Random Act of Kindness initiatives. We loved hearing the delight from staff when surprise Flowers, sweet treats, vouchers, and hand-made gifts were left at their desks – along with the interesting conversations shared over Coffee or Tea our Staff Room’s Conversation Corner. ☕️
