Message from Mabo College Captain
It's has been my honour being your Mabo College Captain this year. To have the opportunity to stand before you every assembly and acknowledge our successes really has given more much pride.
Thank you all for putting up with all my stammering throughout this year. Although I cannot be here today, I know that Mabo will continue to be the amazing House it has been in continuing to uphold all our school values. Most importantly, let's keep competing and keep winning. I wish you the best of luck for the rest of your schooling careers. If you need any last chats with me, I'll be around school for the next 3 weeks of school".
Mabo House – End of Term Update
As we reach the end of another busy and rewarding term, it’s a great time to reflect on the achievements, spirit, and teamwork that make Mabo House such a proud part of our school community. This term has been filled with opportunities for our students to shine, and Mabo House members have risen to the challenge with determination, positivity, and enthusiasm.
On the sporting field, our students showed fantastic commitment during the major House events, cheering loudly and competing with heart. Whether it was running, jumping , or throwing, Mabo athletes brought their best efforts, supporting one another and showing what it means to be part of a strong team. In addition to these competitions, many of our students represented the House in extracurricular activities, helping us to build points towards the overall House Championship.
Beyond sport, Mabo students have excelled in the classroom and across a variety of creative and cultural activities. It has been inspiring to see so many students embody the values of leadership, respect, and perseverance in their everyday learning. Mabo House students have also stepped up in service and leadership roles, encouraging younger peers, setting high standards, and building a culture of care and connection.
A true highlight has been the way our students have supported one another. The cheering from the sidelines, the willingness to try new challenges, and the celebration of each other’s successes remind us that Mabo House is more than just a team – it’s a community.
As we wrap up this term, I want to thank every student who has contributed their energy and spirit to Mabo House. I also acknowledge the efforts of our House Leaders, who have worked tirelessly to inspire participation and ensure that every student feels included. Together, we’ve built on our strong traditions while also looking ahead to even greater things next term.
Congratulations to all Mabo House members on a successful and memorable term. Let’s recharge over the break and return ready to continue building on our success.
Go Mabo!
