It was fantastic to see so many students getting involved by riding, scooting, and walking to school. The energy and excitement throughout the day was amazing, and it was wonderful to see everyone embracing such a healthy and environmentally friendly way to travel.

One of the highlights of the day was the smoothie bike, where students had a great time pedalling to create their own delicious smoothies. It was a fun and interactive way to promote healthy choices! Students also enjoyed fresh fruit throughout the day and were very proud to receive a sticker after walking to school, a great reward for their efforts.

At lunchtime, the fun continued with students having the opportunity to ride around the oval and basketball courts, enjoying being active with their friends.

A huge thank you to the council for providing the smoothie bike and supporting this fantastic initiative. We would also like to extend our a massive thank you to all the parents who volunteered their time before and after school, we couldn’t have done it without you!

Events like this are a great reminder of how small changes, like walking or riding to school, can make a big difference to our health, wellbeing, and the environment.

Let’s keep the momentum going, we encourage all students and families to continue riding or walking to school whenever possible!

Well done everyone on making it such a successful and enjoyable day!

Kind regards,

Heidi Roast and Bella O’Hoy
