Happy Holidays!

We’ve certainly enjoyed a busy term around the school and as we lead into the holidays, we would like to acknowledge the support our school community has provided our students to begin the school year.  Term 1 has been a huge success! There has been so many whole school community events and activities. We would like to acknowledge the support our school community has provided our students to begin the school year.

We wish all our families and members of our school community a safe and enjoyable holiday. Term 2 is looking fabulous already and we look forward to welcoming everyone back next term.

Working Bee

Thank you to the families who volunteered their time over the weekend for our Term 1 Working Bee. Fortunately, the very miserable weather didn’t prevent the Working Bee from going ahead. A significant amount of maintenance and improvement work was completed across the grounds from pruning to sweeping to planting to weeding! Working bees are an important part of our school community and provide an opportunity not only to maintain and improve our grounds, but also to bring our families together and encourage a shared sense of pride in our environment. We are very fortunate to have such large and beautiful school grounds and environment. Days like our working bee help us care for these spaces so they can continue to be enjoyed by all members of our community.

Term 1 Expos

Last Friday we held our Term 1 Expo. Thank you to our wonderful community for your support and engagement in this event. It was fantastic to see so many of our families' visiting classrooms and sharing in your child’s learning. Our school was filled with a sense of pride and celebration with our students excited to showcase their learning and achievements from Term 1. The mix of performances, games, activities and parent involvement made for a fun afternoon! We value the strong partnership between home and school, and occasions like this highlight the importance of working together to support our students.

Year 6 Camp

Our Year 6 students are enjoying a wonderful time away in Lorne at the Surf Camp. The action-packed camp has included coastal hikes, boogie boarding, swimming, beach games and of course surfing! What a magical experience for our students, making lifelong memories on their final primary school camp. A very special milestone they’ll cherish for years to come. We would like to acknowledge our Year 5/6 teachers and our wonderful parent volunteers for attending camp and taking the time to be away from their own families - a huge commitment and one that is truly appreciated.

Transition

This term we have continued to strengthen our relationship with our local kindergartens and childcare centres. We have had kindergartens visit us and we have been busy visiting our local kindergarten and childcare centres. Term 1 has also been a busy time for school tours, and we have enjoyed showcasing our school to prospective families and sharing what makes our community so special.

Next term, we’re excited to begin our School Readiness Sessions for all pre-school children, where we will run engaging activities designed to provide a snapshot of life at primary school.

Kind regards,
